Besides representing ASMU on home ground, some of the Ambassadors have had the opportunity to join the Office of Global Learning contingent to represent SMU at the APAIE 2015 conference in Beijing, China. APAIE stands for the Asia Pacific Association for International Education, which strives to promote cross-learning between educational institutions on best practices related to pedagogy, curriculum planning, and exchange partnerships.

Students from universities worldwide were invited to participate in the conference to provide a first-hand perspective on student life in their respective schools, hopefully offering fresh insights from the ground that exchange partners might be interested in.

Beyond the usual hosting and engaging of SMU's stakeholders, the Ambassadors have had the opportunity to take on the role of a moderator during panel discussions. Besides the annual SMU Parents' Day panel discussions, the Ambassadors look out for other various opportunities such as forums and talks, locally and overseas.
